Welcome !!

Hi ! I am sorry that you are here because that means that you or someone you know has been diagnosed with cancer or has tested positive for BRCA. Please know that you are not alone ! I started this blog as a place to share my story as well as for others to share theirs. We're all in this together !!!

I hope that by sharing my experience, I can help others through a tough time and see that everything will be ok !

Being BRCA+ is life-changing, but why can't it be a change for the better ? I have decided to take this as an opportunity to do something for myself, my family and others. I want to be there for my kids and I don't want to have to wait for cancer to happen. After seeing what my Mom has been through (and triumphed over- WTG Mom !), I don't want to let cancer have a chance. I want to beat it before it beats me ! I want to write about my journey so that others who might have just found out that they are positive will have an idea of what they can expect. This is my story.

Please don't feel embarrassed or think that any question you may have is dumb or too personal. I am lucky enough to have my sisters to talk to about BRCA, but I know that not everyone else is that lucky. I hope that I can help !

This is a very, very personal decision. The choices that I have made are what I feel are best for me and my family. I know what a struggle it is to decide what to do with a positive result. I completely respect other's privacy and decisions and hope that everyone else will as well.
